October Update
FAQs | Screenshots | Manage My Links Now

This October update will only announce one new feature, however it is such a great feature, we didn't want it to get lost in the shuffle of other news. I'll send out a second newsletter in October or early November to give you other tips, tricks and upcoming treats on CEOExpress.

So, what's our October surprise? Many of you have asked for it for a long time and we are now launching it in beta for your feedback and ideas.

Drum roll......
We Are Launching Personal Link Sharing! Yes, you can now create a publicly available "links page" to share your highly prized personal link collection with friends, co-workers, business associates and club members. It is so easy, you won't know yourself. Plus, we’ve thrown in a Google search box on your links page to make it even more valuable. You will each have your own personal URL that you can mail to others (via our mailing system) or you can link to the page from within any website.

    How can you use it?
    • Well, say you are a real estate agent and have gathered a strong collection of links to all the services, schools etc in your area. You can use the links with clients, imbed it in your real estate site or share it with others in your office. For instance, your site could be www.ceoexpress.com/CamdenRealty or www.ceoexpress.com/GreatHomes
    • Maybe you are a professor. How about sharing the resource links you’ve collected with your students for a class? Are you teaching history? Organize all the great history links for your students and have the URL: www.ceoexpress.com/OttomanEmpire or www.ceoexpress.com/AncientRome or www.ceoexpress.com/ProfSmith
    • Working on a project with others? Post your research links collection to speed up the research time. Try: www.ceoexpress.com/ChildrensStudyGroup
    • Are you an avid kayaker, fisherman, skier, chess player, decorator? Post your links for those who enjoy the same adventures. Let your friends access through a URL like: www.ceoexpress.com/NanciesKayakLinks or www.ceoexpress.com/GreatGolfSites
I bet you are now saying to yourself, 'Yes, I would like to share some links, but some of my categories have personal stuff I wouldn't want to share.' Well, we have you covered. When you turn on "link sharing," all of your categories are defaulted to "off." You simply turn on those categories that you want to share and leave those that are personal in the "off" position. We even allow you to turn off individual links you may not want to share within shared categories. Imagine the possibilities! Also, when you update your shared categories on your CEOExpressSelect homepage, they automatically update on your "personal links" public page.

Here-take a look at what MY personal links public page looks like: www.ceoexpress.com/Patricia. You can now see Patricia’s personal links! Yes, my very own personal link stash ;-). I have even listed my personal favorite software and websites, along with my favorite travel and "technology trends" links. If you’d like, you can even link to my personal links page on both your CEOExpressSelect homepage and your new personal links page.

When I set up this public view of my personal links, I made public about 50% of the total of all my personal links. The rest remain private on my CEOExpress personal page. The feature is incredibly flexible and has great potential for both your business and personal life.

It is simple to set up your own page. Click here for Link Sharing FAQs and Getting Started Screenshots. Take a minute and review the instructions, then take it for a test drive. Remember this is a beta, so we are looking for your ideas and recommendations. You will find a "Beta Feedback" link in a couple places. We want this to work for you, so fire away. Suggestions for how to use this feature are especially welcomed.

Would you be interested in a free 15 minute "Web Seminar with Patricia" about how to use this feature? If so, click here.

As usual, feel free to send me a note. I truly enjoy hearing from you.

Best regards,
