Happy Valentine's Day! We are adding some great new features to CEOExpress we want you to know about.

What's New? Better searching; better use of real estate; front page indices; and (soon) better email.

New Search Box Capability
You will now notice on your homepage that the four individual search boxes are hidden and your search capability has been condensed into a single tabbed box. The single search box, located in the center of the page between the Editor's Note and Great Site, has now become a one-stop search box, taking the place of your search toolbar (the four individual search boxes) if you choose.

We've combined all your searches into one compact area, therefore making better use of the real estate on your homepage. Using tabs within the search box, you'll be able to customize the search tools you want to use (Google, Amazon, Ask.com, the Finance Center, etc). Use the four that we provide as defaults, or click the "Customize" link to replace them with four different search tools (including Answers.com, Wikipedia, McKinsey Quarterly, SEC and more). You can customize at any time. (Click "Advanced" for even more search options.) By hiding the four blue search boxes, we've not only condensed your searches into one handy box, we've also pulled your links higher up on the page. However...

Want your individual search boxes back? No problem.

For those of you who are total search freaks (like the CEOExpress editor), we now offer the ability to have both the condensed search box and the original toolbar---eight search boxes on your homepage at all times! You can restore your original search toolbar by clicking the "Search Toolbar" link in the grey bar under the CEOExpress logo. You can make all eight the engines of your choice using the Customize feature. Patricia is going to have her "everyday" search engines in the compact box and the more obscure engines she likes in the toolbar, which she can toggle on and off.

Still not enough search options? Be sure to click the "Advanced" link in the new search box, to access CEOExpress Multi-Search, where you'll find over 100 additional searches.

Stock Lookup/Indices Corner
The upper left hand corner of the homepage (formerly the Tip of the Day) is now a Stock Lookup/Indices Corner. Use this for quick searches, when you don't need to use the Finance Center. On days when CEOExpress needs to use that corner for an announcement, we'll "take over," but you can use the "Indices" tab at any time to toggle to the stock information.

(As an aside, if you haven't tried the "Search Links" capability at the right end of the blue "Tabs" bar just above your links, you should. It is a fabulous tool and does a progressive search of both CEOExpress and your personal links. Try it.)

New Email!
By popular demand, we are currently in the final stages of selecting a new email vendor. We're really excited about this new email, and think you will be too. We had a small group of CEOExpressSelect members test the selected email application, and they unanimously loved it. We hope to launch this application within the next eight weeks. This new application includes:
  • Automatic synchronization of contacts, notes, and calendar with Outlook and handheld devices
  • A mobile web version of email to be used on your handheld
  • Drag and drop capability throughout the application
  • Document storage-Word, pictures, PDFs, spreadsheets.
  • A personal calendar (s) that can be published to the web for family and friends
  • The ability to use your own email domain if desired (in addition to CEOExpress.com)
  • A Plaxo-like program, to help update your contacts
  • And much more...
We expect the transition to the new email to be seamless. We'll get more detailed information to you shortly.
