Happy mid summer! I hope you are all taking a little time to relax, exercise and spend some time with family. There is a lot going on at CEOExpress! Below we will be telling you about some great new features and tips --including an absolutely priceless tip on keystroke logging on public computers.

New CEOExpress Corporate
We have been working diligently over the last six months, and in June we launched a new and greatly enhanced CEOExpress Corporate, our private label portal for businesses and associations. It is being received with rave reviews from all our clients. Although many of our clients use our portal for intranets and extranets, you can take a look at a couple of the publicly available sites our clients have published.

  • MASourceExpress is a private label portal for Mergers and Acquisitions professionals.
  • NYCLAExpress is a private label portal focusing on the law in New York County.
  • Golfdash is a portal that has all the information you will ever need on golf and the golf industry.
Each end user has all the functionality of CEOExpress, but branded with our client's corporate identity, and featuring their own content. Our new platform is based on Web 2.0 technology and can mix content to meet the needs of the end user. For more information or to schedule a demo, click here.

New Icons
Responding to member requests, we have added a number of icons to add to your links. Now, in addition to the "New" and the smiley faces, etc., that we offered before, we have more business-oriented icons, like an envelope, a question mark, and a .pdf symbol. To add an icon to any of your links, just click the "Edit" link in the upper right corner of the nugget in which the link resides. Click the pencil next to any link to make changes, including adding an icon. (Be sure to click the "Update" button to save your changes.) You can even set an icon to expire. For instance, if you’ve added a new link to your page, and want to remember that it’s there, add a "New" icon, then choose "Yes" for the graphic to expire. Set a date a few weeks from now, and the "New" will disappear on its own. Icons are available to be added right away whenever you add a new link to your page. New icons are coming in the future, so keep looking.

Try Our New Email
In June we launched an all new email program with Outlook synchronization capability, document storage, a Gig of storage and more. If you don’t already have an email account, you can create one now by clicking the "Email" tab in the upper left hand corner of your CEOExpress homepage - it’s quick and easy to get started. If you do already have an email account, be sure to check out the new features.

Coming Soon! "CEOX for Dummies"
CEOExpress has so many features, that at times they can be overwhelming. There are many features you probably don't even know about. Some members have requested a "CEOExpress for Dummies" manual and we are writing it now. If you have any ideas or requests for specific features to be addressed, please let us know.

Patricia's Favorite New Software
I love "Jott!" Jott is a great service which allows you to call from your cell phone, send a voice message, and Jott will send an email to yourself or others. You can even set it up to send email or text messages to teams of people. I use it every day to send reminders to myself or send an email or text message to my staff or family. It is fabulous when you are in your car and remember something you have forgotten six times, or you just want to let your staff know you are running 20 minutes late. The voice to text recognition is astounding. Try this service, it's free and you will be using it every day. I guarantee it!

A Great Travel Tips
  • Preventing Key Stroke Logging
There is Internet access in almost every location in the world these days. However, there is great concern about key stroke logging in hotels, internet cafes etc. You can check into your email or other sensitive accounts and you are sending that information to miscreants who may use that information in any way they wish. Click here to discover a terrific tip on how to outfox the key stroke loggers. This is a two page official white paper from a group at Microsoft Research. I have highlighted and added notes for your convenience. It is such a simple idea you will never forget it, and it may save you enormous headaches and give you peace of mind. You will probably say "why didn't I think of that?!" Please Note: If you are having trouble reading the document click here.

  • Accessing CEOExpress and Email when you are Traveling
One of our members complained of the slow loading of CEOExpress and our email when traveling on a ship with a slow Internet connection. Here's a tip on how to access CEOExpress and email quickly and easily no matter how slow your connection. Just use your mobile version of CEOExpress when you are traveling. It not only works on your handheld, you can access it on any computer desktop as well. When traveling, if you have a slow connection, just go to http://pda.ceoexpress.com (remember, no www). You can customize your PDA site to have only the links you need while traveling and access the "stripped-down" lightening fast version of email (email link is at the top of CEOX PDA page) which should work just fine for you. You'll just need your CEOExpress user name and password and your suitcase :-)

CEOExpress Marketplace
We recently launched our new and improved CEOExpress Marketplace. You can find the link at the top of the homepage. Great deals and gift ideas can be found throughout the page. Be sure to check out the "Shop by Category" section in the upper left corner. Have a favorite online shop/service? Let us know.

Thank you for all your help and feedback. As always, feel free to send me a note. I truly enjoy hearing from you.

Best regards,

Patricia Pomerleau
