We agree that trump is dumb enough to do a lot of stupid things, including restarting the Korean War against the wishes of the Korean people. However, Korea is a sovereign country and such an act, unless in response to an actual attack by N Korea on the US would be against international law, and would destroy what little faith our allies have in the USA. Despite what some on this forum think, South Korea still gets to say what US forces and weapons are brought into the country.
It is amazing to see a president ignore the advice of experts from all political persuasions and pursue policies which were popular with his base, but wrong and counterproductive. It is even more amazing to see some on this forum thinking that that is a strength, instead of the action of someone who is totally unqualified to occupy the office of President of the United States.

While leaving church on the National Day of Prayer for Hurricane Harvey victims, trump said "we'll see" when asked by a a reporter whether he'll attack North Korea.

It won't necessarily take actions that the S. Korean government has any control over to re-start the Korean War. B-2s and cruise missiles are not based in S. Korean, but would probably be Trump's go-to weapons as a first action. Once he's done that and the shells and missiles start falling on Seoul in response, the S. Korean government will have no choice but to go along with further military action.

You miss the point. We cannot unilaterally decide to restart the war in Korea which would result in millions of casualties. Obviously, we have a right to defend ourselves if we are attacked by N Korea, but the odds of that suicidal act happening are very, very low.
However, threatened, cornered people can do irrational things which is why trump's school yard taunts are dangerous and stupid.

The WP editorial staff believes that trump’s suggestion that the U.S. withdraw from the US-South Korea free-trade agreement (KORUS) is unjustified and counterproductive. Even if it weren't, it sends the worst possible signal to North Korea and China. If the White House proceeds to drop KORUS after the test, it will severely damage one of America’s staunchest and important allies in Asia by throwing the U.S.-South Korea alliance to the wolves.
The US and South Korea ought to respond to N Korea jointly and without any ambiguity. It is natural for the Velveeta Raccoon to hint about a preventive strike against North Korea but a preventive strike is the worst possible option for South Korea and the US.

The leakers are saying that the Velveeta Raccoon has decided to end DACA…sort of. He will give Congress 6 months to do something legislatively and if they don’t…trump will end it, maybe.

Quippy, but rather presumptuous.

Do you presume that because the science is different in the (barely) 21st Century... that people are different, that problem-solving is different or the reality and right and wrong are different?

You are a prisoner of the moment, a temporal amnesiac and a chronological snob.

When do we cross the next magical line in time? Must it end in 000 or can it end in 00 or 0?

Typically, you totally missed the point. trump's totally unable to deal with the complexity of the modern presidency. Who knew health care was so complicated? Who knew the tactics he used in business wouldn't work in government?
