14 Republicans were responsible for writing the language in the GOP tax bill. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/15/us/politics/lobbyists-tax-overhaul-congress.html
That gave them tremendous power and the ability to collect campaign donations big time, and donors paid big time. It also assured that the GOP tax bill benefitted a small number of individuals and special interests who could pay the bill. Nobody had access or much influence.

Since the budget has been finalized today and the final bill is being printed for distribution tonight, I'm going to keep this forum up until next week.

With two GOP senators in the hospital and Cruz being Cruz, who knows what is going to happen.

Anyway, I'm leaving this forum up until Trump signs/or not.

Patricia

Thomas, remain in that leaky canoe, up that river in Egypt without a paddle. The verdict has been in for a long time. If the election were held today, trump would lose big time. His undereducated, unemployed, supporters realize that he has conned them, that the bone spur guy lies 80% of the time.

Thomas C a.k.a. Hawk-

You keep forgetting the new rules M Bathurst and Robert professed:

You don't need fact supported by sources

You can just use opinions to add to the discussion

You guys have been posting your opinions, others theirs

But you keep attacking the sources instead of dealing with issues

The host is said to be a billionaire, are you?

But then perhaps his opinions are no better than yours, his are in opposition to them, hence the informal discussion which even that is beyond your ability to join in.

One month before the Reagan tax plan was signed into law in 1986, 18% of the American public believed it would benefit them. They were wrong.

The vast majority of folks, according to the polls, thought Trump had no change to win last year.

What? You want more??

Here's my favorite one. According to all the polls, HRC had a 10 point lead over Sanders in the MI Democrat primary last year. She lost by 10%...how do you explain that one, oh great one?? I'm sure you can spin it, get to work on it!

Steyer?

Give it up M, you are giving these partisan trolls way too much play time.

Perhaps you could consider the millions and millions Steyer washes through a 501 offshore in Bermuda?
