Fauci Sees Far Fewer U.S. Deaths; More Fed Aid: Virus Update
(Bloomberg) -- Anthony Fauci, the top U.S. infectious-disease expert, said the final death toll from the virus may be lower than earlier estimated. As fatalities now slow in parts of Europe, they are still accelerating in the U.S., which is on track to overtake Italy.Stocks rallied after the Federal Reserve took steps to provide as much as $2.3 trillion in additional aid, even as Americans applied for jobless benefits in huge numbers again.
