As you open your hearts and wallets ó especially during the holiday season ó do you check out charities before giving?

Yes
No
Not if I 'know' them
I don't give to charities
Bah! Humbug!

Actually if you look at the IRS website revenue dropped under Reagan, then started growing after the first of his tax increases was implemented. I'd post it, but what's the point?

Meanwhile, during testimony today, Sessions repeatedly attempted to defend his memory lapses during earlier testimony: Meetings he had with the Russian ambassador during the campaign; Campaign related conversations he had with the Russian ambassador; Shutting down campaign aide George Papadopoulos after Papadopoulos suggested then-candidate trump and Putin meet.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions said he couldn't remember any of these events ó that is until the media or Robert S. Mueller III's investigation remembered for him.
During his testimony he said he couldnít relate private conversations or he didnít recall in response to over three dozen questions.

No, B's still believes in trickle down and voodoo economics which have been repeatedly proven to increase the deficit while enriching the richest Americans.

No, they prefer to pay a tax rather than buy insurance. We agree. If the House and Senate Bills did that I would support them.

Very good!

If you eliminate wealthy guy loopholes, keeping the rate the same increases income exposed to taxes.

BTW, Senate Bill will eliminate individual mandate which saves taxes on lower income folks. Millions pay a tax (penalty) and still no insurance.

No, Jack, the shoe is on the other foot. I told you that we have to agree to disagree. I didn't attack you. I told you I don't agree with you, and you couldn't deal with my disagreement.

You have absolutely no clue as to what I have nostalgia for. Iím talking about the efficacy of a debating site that is less about exchanging information and ideas than about making other persons appear stupid or evil. Even my rather benign comments were met with an attitude that said ďIf you donít like it, go elsewhere.Ē Iím not sure what your problem is, but you seem to be afflicted with a world-view that is supremely certain of itself and contemptuous of the views and motives of others. Enjoy your forum.

Well, if raising taxes on high incomes is done in conjunction with closing loopholes and simplifying the tax code so rich people have as few options to avoid taxes as normal Americans it will cause revenues to increase. I know that if my taxes are raised I pay more. How about your taxes?
