Daines, 64, is the sixth Republican senator to decide against seeking re-election ahead of the critical November midterm elections, joining Sens. Thom Tillis (R-NC), Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) and Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).
