Iranian protesters shouted and marched through the streets into Friday morning, despite Iran's theocracy cutting off the nation from the internet and international telephone calls.
Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said the protesters were "a bunch of vandals" trying to please President Donald Trump, before issuing a warning that the Islamic Republic will not back down.
Protests broke out in several cities across Iran on Thursday despite an ongoing violent crackdown by security forces that has left dozens dead and led authorities to shut down the internet nationwide in an attempt to stifle the unrest
