Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) broke with the White House over the video, saying on X: "Praying it [the post] was fake because it's the most racist thing I've seen out of this White House."
The video, shared by the president's Truth Social account, contains a brief clip of the faces of former President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, on the bodies of apes.
