 Anna Moneymaker/Getty ImagesIn the wake of Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris' record-breaking fundraising numbers, Ben Shapiro has an answer for anyone wondering if Donald Trump would pick J.D. Vance as his running mate again: "I doubt it."
"I think he probably would have picked somebody like Glenn Youngkin from Virginia in an attempt to broaden out his base," Shapiro said on the latest episode of his self-titled show, according to Media Matters. "Instead, he went with J.D. Vance feeling, because he was right that at the time, he had a very solid advantage in the race against Joe Biden."
Shapiro was referring to President Joe Biden's murmuring debate performance two weeks before the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee last week. That performance was the catalyst for Biden quitting the race and why Trump felt comfortable choosing a running mate who defies the traditions of picking a candidate that shores up support with the party's larger base.

 XSandy Hook denier Alex Jones is convinced a video proves with "no doubt" that President Joe Biden has been replaced by someone—or something— much taller.
Jones retweeted a video on X Friday morning that appeared to be taken at the White House on the day of Biden's "pass the torch" speech. However, Jones claimed the president smiling and waving in the clip, with First Lady Jill standing nearby, was "not the real Joe Biden."
"Clearly different," wrote Jones, adding, "The legs are 6 to 8 inches longer."

Journalist Mehdi Hasan joins us to respond to President Joe Biden's announcement Sunday he is ending his campaign to seek reelection just four months before Election Day. In a letter posted on social media, Biden wrote he was stepping aside "in the best interest of my party and the country," and then endorsed his Vice President Kamala Harris. She quickly received the backing of many powerful Democrats, but Harris could still face a challenge for the party's nomination in the four weeks before the Democratic National Convention. Questions about Biden's candidacy had been growing since at least last year. The activist group RootsAction launched a campaign called Don't Run Joe 20 months ago, and during the primary more than a half-million voters chose "uncommitted" instead of Biden to protest his support for Israel's war on Gaza. Hasan says that this is a "big, big moment for American democracy," and when it comes to Harris, we need to "pressure her in a way that we failed to pressure Joe Biden."
