The government called on the court to reverse an appeals court ruling that found most of President Donald Trump's tariffs are an illegal use of an emergency powers law.
Trump told reporters that the U.S. would appeal to the high court for relief because "it would be a devastation for our country" if the appeals court ruling was left in place.
