Have you heard? Microsoft Office 2024 has just hit the (virtual) shelves. If you're still working with the 2019 or 2021 editions, you may be due for an upgrade, especially since the latest version of Microsoft Office comes with a fresh makeover, new productivity features, and AI integration that could streamline your work.
Cyber Week is an excellent time to get Microsoft Office 2024 Home since you can save 20% on a license and grab it for your PC or Mac for $119.97 (reg. $149). You'll have to act quickly, as codes (for use on one device) are limited, and this offer expires tomorrow.

No mixed reality headset has done this before, but CNET's Bridget Carey and Scott Stein make the case why Disney's experience with VR and partnership with Apple could make it possible to use Vision Pro to preserve Jim Henson's final project, Muppet Vision 3D. The attraction is set to close at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park in Florida -- but are headsets a way to hold on to history?

Android users enrolled in Google Home's Public Preview can now help test "Help me create," a Gemini AI-infused tool that lets you create Google Home automations from natural-language prompts.
Here's how it works: You open the Google Home app, tap the Automations tab, tap Add, then tap "Help me create."
Next, just describe in English (yes, just English, at least for now) what you'd like the automation to do. For example, you could type (or say) "Turn off the lights at 11 p.m. every night," "Lock all the doors when everyone's away," or "Set a meditation time reminder."
Then just tap "Create," and the Google Home app—with help from Gemini—will compose an overview of a proposed automation.
You can then rate the Gemini-created automation, ask for a do-over, or rename and save the routine if you're happy with it.
